Opis

These works are a meditation on materiality and light, transcending the traditional understanding of the canvas. These are not merely paintings, they are reliefs that absorb and reflect light, transforming with every shifting angle of the viewer’s gaze.
The characteristic swirling or undulating structure infuses the black surfaces with an organic vitality. It makes the paint appear to pulse and vibrate, while simultaneously constructing a powerful, almost sculptural depth. When a ray of light, whether natural or artificial, hits these pieces, a transformation occurs: the black explodes with luminous, metallic reflections. It is an invitation to experience painting with all the senses.
These works enter into an intimate dialogue with the exhibition space. Through subtle yet firm forms, protrusions, concavities, and geometric incision, I sought to break the flatness of the image, lending it a three-dimensional dimension. My aim is to redefine the relationship between painting and sculpture.
These compositions focus on materiality, the perception of light, and the exploration of abstract form.
